1 - Open VeraCrypt (see above for instructions to install and open)
2 - Click Create Volume
3 - Select Create an Encrypted File Container and click Next
4 - Select Standard VeraCrypt Volume and click Next
5 - Click Select File…
6 - Navigate to the Portable Drive (In this case it is the E drive, on your system it may be any letter)
7 - Type a Name for the Encrypted File (In this case, it is named Transfer). Click Save
8 - Click Next
9 - Do not make any changes and click Next
10 - Select GB and enter the size you require. Please note, the bigger the space, the longer it will take to encrypt
11 - Click Next
12 - Type in a Password and confim. Please make a note of the password as this cannot be retrieved if lost
13 - Click Next
14 - Select Yes and click Next
15 - Move the mouse around and then click Format
16 - The format will take some time
17 - Once complete, click OK
18 - Click Exit
